May Day
April showers should bring May Flowers, but they really brought a lot of change.
Mary has just begun a new course of chemo. I don't have all the technicalities, but it's called COP and not CHOP. It has been around a while and is a bit more aggressive than anything she's had so far. Even though the Zevalin was nuclear, the side effects were not as intense as she is now experiencing. Can you call? Yes, of course...but not before 9:00 after 10:00. Email to marymcnaughton @ mac.com (no spaces). Drop by? You bet. Keep the positive thoughts and prayers coming.
Mary is also retiring this May. After 34 years, she's leaving the chalk on the rail. More on that later.
Nora is completing her first year at Augustana and will be coming home for the summer on May 17th. Needless to say, she's a little nervous about completing her courses and leaving her new home. It's been quite a year with the highlight being her pledging and being activated as a Delta Chi Theta. We went to the parents brunch on Sunday. It was a lovely ceremony and we met quite a few of Nora's new "Sisters". We were very impressed with the Sorority and the young women of Delta Chi.
I just can't wait for school to get out. I have a few activities planned for the week of the 14th. I can't describe all of them just now, but I'll be going downtown two days in a row: once for a conference and once for jury duty. Then it's the last week of school. We're going to our new niece, Caroline Grace's baptism at the end of the month and then we're out for the summer.
That's the quick and dirty. Keep in touch.
Oh, here's a blog we created for the Association. We plan to stir it up a bit.

Just read your profile and saw The Conversation in your favorite movies. The blood in the toilet scene was terrifying!!! Sending happy thoughts to the Nerius-McNaughtons and "eff yous" to the cancer cells.
